The Hart Longhorns lost a game to the Lubbock All Saints Episcopal Patriots, 64-24 Ṫhe Patriots got scoring underway in the first quarter with a touchdown, to take the lead 6-0. The Longhorns came back with a touchdown on a run by Ely Hernandez, tying the score, 6-6.

The Hart Longhorns had a tough loss to the Hedley Owls in their second game of the season, falling 39-0. The Longhorns had 50 plays and six first downs for 119 yards on offense, with 11 of 16 passing completions for 57 yards and 34 rushes for 63 yards, five penalties for 40 yards.

HHS Ladyhorns Mia Minjarez and Longhorns Anthony Flores both earned medals at the Lubbock XC Invitational this past Saturday. They are set to run again in Canyon this week.

Area schools compete at Lubbock Invitational XC

Dimmitt, Hart and Nazareth cross country teams competed at the Lubbock Invitational Cross Country this past Saturday. The event was held at Mae Simmons Park. Dimmitt varsity boys com Dimmitt varsity boys competed in the 3A Men’s 5,000 Meter run against 154 runners from 22 schools.

Hart XC Aiden Cisneros medaled in the junior high run placing seventh.

DHS, HHS compete at Plainview XC meet

Dimmitt and Hart XC teams competed at the Plainview Invitation Cross Country Meet held at Running Waters Draw Regional Park this past Saturday. Divisions were split between 1A-2A; 3A-4A; and 5A-6A. The junior varsity competitors ran in all-inclusive divisions.

The Dimmitt cheerleader pumped up the players, parents and fans at the Homecoming Pep Rally.
