Bobcats fall to Childress, 70-0

The Dimmitt Bobcats had a bumpy ride in their game against the Childress Bobcats, falling 70-0 in conference play. The Childress offense and defense were in full force holding the Bobcats to no gain throughout the game. As of this game, Childress was undefeated this season.

USDA seeking applications for college student summer interns

The USDA Natural Resources Conservation Service (NRCS) is currently seeking applicants for collegiate student internships across Texas. Student trainee positions include soil conservationists, rangeland management specialists and engineers.

Monster Bash set for Oct. 29

DHS Band Scores Superior

The Dimmitt Bobcat Marching Band scored a 1st Division Superior rating with "all 1's" at the Texas UIL Marching Evaluation on Oct. 16 in Amarillo, qualifying them to compete in the Area A Marching Contest at Lowery Field in Lubbock this Saturday, Oct 23. The band will perform at :45.

Aggies bag the elephant

It can’t go unnoticed or unspoken that #1 ranked Alabama lost this past weekend to an unranked team – the Texas A&M Aggies. While Alabama fans were stunned were stunned, there were plenty of Aggie fans elated on Saturday at the big A&M 41-38 victory over the Crimson Tide.

DHS Harlie Millican had a good showing at the San Angelo Stock Show, placing Reserve Middleweight Champion in market goats.

Naz Lamb Clinic, Jackpot set for Saturday

The Nazareth 2021 Lamb Clinic and Jackpot will be held this Saturday, Oct. 16. Exhibitors must be 4-H or FFA members enrolled in a public or private school below college level. There is no limit to the number of entries per exhibitor and lambs should be slick sheered above the knee and hock.

Swifts beat Bucks, 33-24

The Nazareth Swifts won their homecoming game, beating the White Deer Bucks, 33-24 Ṫhe Swifts took the lead in the first quarter on a touchdown on a rush by Luke Schulte, 6-0.

Canyon Invitational XC Meet 2021

The Dimmitt varsity boys took top honors at the Canyon Invitational XC meet this past weekend, placing 1st as team overall against 63 runners. Jordan Garcia placed first individually, Azariah Gonzalez, 6th, Ryan Nino, 14th and Erik Rivera, 19th, giving Dimmitt four runners in the top 20.
