Both Dimmitt High School cross county teams qualified to compete at the Regional Meet in Lubbock after the Bobcats placed first in District and the Bobbies placed third. (Photo left) Hart XC varsity runners Anthony Flores and Alton Washington qualified to compete at the Regional meet.

Both Dimmitt High School cross county teams qualified to compete at the Regional Meet in Lubbock after the Bobcats placed first in District. And the Bobbies placing third. The Regional meet saw the Bobcats with a 7th team placing and the Bobbies with a 22nd.

The Region 1 XC Championships were held this past Monday in Lubbock, with runners from Dimmitt, Nazareth and Hart all competing. Three runners qualified for state and will advance: Chloe Birkenfeld and Bryson Brockman, Nazareth High School, and Azariah Gonzalez from Dimmitt High School.

The Nazareth Swifts won a nail biter against the Kress Kangaroos in the final seconds of the game, 41-40, this past Friday, advancing them to a spot in the playoffs. The Swifts scored the first down on a 1- yard rush and touchdown by Luke Schulte, putting them on the board 6-0.
