Four Castro County 4-H members competed in the second annual United Supermarkets District 2 4-H Grilling Games held at Wolfforth Patterson Park on Oct. 16. Forty-nine 4-H members from Castro, Crosby, Lubbock, swisher, Lamb, Mitchel and Floyd counties competed in the Grilling Games.

In September, the seasonally adjusted Texas unemployment rate was 5.6 percent, a decrease of 0.3 percentage points from August 2021, according to the U.S. Bureau of Labor U3 report. In September, the Leisure and Hospitality industry gained 31,900 jobs over the month.
