Kathy Lynne (Alexander) Waller passed from this world while surrounded by family, on Monday Oct. 18, 2021. She was 69 years old. For 52 years she was the loving, faith-filled partner of Narvin “Butch” Waller.

Johnny R. Leal, 67 of Dimmitt, Texas, passed away on Friday, Oct. 8, 2021, in Lavon, Texas. Celebration of Life Service will be held on Thursday, Oct. 14, at 10:30 a.m. in the First Assembly of God Church with the Rev. Israel Olivo officiating. Burial will follow in Castro Memorial Gardens under the care of Colonial Funeral Home of Dimmitt. The family will receive friends on Wednesday, Oct. 13 from 5 to 7 p.m. at the funeral home.

Stanton Dow Liles III, was born Sept. 13, 1946, in Seymour, Texas, and passed from this life on Oct. 8, 2021, in Wichita Fall, Texas. A graveside service will be held at the Throckmorton Cemetery Tuesday, Oct. 12, at 10 a.m., followed by a memorial service at 11 a.m. at First United Methodist Church, Throckmorton, Texas, with the Rev. Jay Gage officiating. Arrangements are under the direction of Smith Family Funeral Homes, Throckmorton.

Jeffery Howell, 53, lifelong resident of Dimmitt, Texas passed away on Sunday, Oct. 3, 2021, to be with his Lord and Savior.

Johnny Don Tilley, 66 of Dimmitt, Texas, went to be with his Lord and Savior on Tuesday, Sept. 21, 2021, in Dimmitt. Graveside service will be held at 10 a.m. on Saturday, Sept. 25 in the Castro Memorial Gardens Cemetery with Deacon Richard Martinez officiating. Local funeral arrangements are under the care of Colonial Funeral Home of Dimmitt.

Sinclair

Ivan Earl Sinclair, age 84, passed away on Sept. 16, 2021, in Warrenton, Virginia. Ivan grew up on a farm in the Bethel Community and graduated as Salutatorian from Dimmitt High School in the Class of 1955. He left Dimmitt after graduation for Hardin-Simmons University, where he was editor of the school newspaper, followed by military service and graduate degree at Columbia School of Journalism in NYC.

Panhandle legend Junior Lee Coffey has died at age 79 (March 21, 1942 – August 30, 2021). The worst snowstorm in Texas history hit the panhandle just two days after Junior’s family moved to Dimmitt, Texas, in March 1957.

M. Joe James, 74 of Amarillo, passed away on Sunday, Sept. 5, 2021. Celebration of Life Services will be 2 p.m., Wednesday, at New Life Restoration Center, 1508 Whittier St. in Hereford, with Pastor Errol Hainer of PRAY Amarillo officiating. Burial will be at Castro Memorial Gardens Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 6-8 p.m., Tuesday, at Cox-Rowley Funeral Home, 4180 Canyon Drive in Amarillo.

Sharon Kay Miller, 64 of Ruidoso, New Mexico, formerly of Dimmitt, Texas passed away Tuesday, July 13, 2021, in Las Cruces, New Mexico. Memorial services will be held at 1 p.m., Monday, Sept. 13, at Colonial Funeral Home with Kelly Moore officiating. Services are under the care of Colonial Funeral Home of Dimmitt, Texas.
