Bobcats v Friona The Bobcats scored a huge win over the Friona Chieftains, 19-1. The Bobcats came in with a run in the first inning to take the lead and pounded hard in the third inning with a big nine runs.

DHS Robotics headed for Regionals

Dimmitt Robotics has advanced three teams to the Regional Virtual Meet that will take place in early May. Team 12398 finished first winning the Inspire award.

Swifts win three games

The Nazareth Swifts won their game against the Valley Patriots, 8-0. The Swifts brought three runners in the second inning, one in the third and four in the fourth, leaving the Patriots scoreless.

Nazareth Tennis bound for Regionals

The Nazareth Tennis athletes are headed for Regionals with some solid first and second place wins in District competition. In mixed doubles matches, Carson Heiman and Harley Gerber placed first and Luke Schulte and Iris Schilderink came in second.

Bobcats take on Wolforth-Frenship Tennis Tournament

DHS Bobbies and Bobcats competed at the Wolforth-Frenship Tennis Tournament. Sam and Luke Settle placed first in Boys Doubles; Eduardo Peralta and Gamaliel Vazquez placed second in Boys Doubles; Joshua Castillo and Nataley Bonilla placed third in Mixed Doubles; William VanZee placed first in Boys Singles; and Max Knavel placed second in Boys Singles.

DHS Golf competes at District meet in Lubbock

The DHS Bobbies Golf team competed at the District meet in Lubbock, finishing fourth place. Members of the team: Fabiola Perez, Alyssa Monreal, Amy Oviedo, Victoria Hernandez and Shaylagh Henriquez.

Bobcats top Wildcats, 5-4

The Dimmitt Bobcats walked away with a win over the River Road Wildcats, 5-4. Neither team scored in the first two innings, but River Road came with a run in the third and fourth to take the lead, 2-0.

4-H and FFA Shoot-out

Harrison Meador shot 98/100 in trap to compete in the age Division II finals where he placed 2nd out of 264 competitors. Oliver Meador shot an 83/100 and though he didn’t make the finals, he was in the top 15 percent of all shooters in his age division. It was tough competition at the San Antonio Stock Show and Rodeo 4-H and FFA Shoot-out, with five shooters scoring 99/100.

Bobbies lose to Lady Cats

The Dimmitt Bobbies dropped a conference game to the Littlefield Lady Cats, 11-1. “Dimmitt started strong in the first inning keeping the score 0 to 0,” said Coach Vicky Ruiz.
