The Nazareth Swifts claimed a win over the Springlake-Earth Wolverines last Tuesday, 5037. The Swifts took the lead in the first quarter, 9-7, and added another 17 points to board, putting them up over the Wolverines, 26-9, as the first half ended.

The Nazareth Swifts left no doubt about their win against the Lazbuddie Longhorns on Tuesday night, defeating them, 98-6. Nazareth secured a big lead in the first quarter, 29-3, and added another 25 points in the second quarter to close the first half out 54-3.

Coached by Ruby Romero, the DHS girls powerlifters scored a team win and six first place medals at the Plainview Invitational this past weekend.

The Nazareth ag program and FFA will have an addition this semester. Paisleigh Wilkens will be doing her student teaching under Austin Heck. Wilkens is the daughter of Tony and Lexy Wilkens of Plainview and a senior at Texas Tech studying agriculture education. She will graduate in May.
